Israel’s Top Artists Sick Acapella of ‘Could you be loved’ – Video

Bob Marley’s 70th Birthday Celebration is less than a month away, 1-6 February, but people around the world are already celebrating and paying tribute to the Reggae icon in creative ways.

Israel’s top artists and super group of musicians have performed an acapella version of Marley’s mega hit single Could you be loved, commemorating the Reggae Legend and helping spread, with us, the message of love and unity. Well done! In Jamaica, we’d say sick! We are now wondering… can Jamaica’s top musicians do the same for our beloved icon?

In the first week of February, at venues across the Jamaica, there will be live performances and exhibitions, and the town of Negril will host the 23rd annual Bob Marley Birthday Bash: a five-day festival featuring international reggae acts, tribute shows, art and food. The Bob Marley Museum in Kingston – the singer’s former home – which closed its doors in October 2014 for renovation, will reopen in time to hold its own special Earthstrong celebration on Marley’s birthday, 6 February. The Grammy Museum will play an integral role in the celebrations according to the director of the Grammy Museum, Bob Santelli. The Grammy Museum will celebrate Bob Marley’s 70th birthday in Los Angeles during Grammy week. Santelli noted that the relationship between the Grammy Museum and the Bob Marley Museum will also be celebrated More details for this event will be released nearer the time.
