Many found this painful to watch but still did so and ended up feeling embarrassed again

Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller is ignorant, clueless, is in desperate need of coaching in public speaking, and is the worst PM Jamaica has ever seen, according to thousands of Jamaicans who felt embarrassed after watching her latest impromptu interview on CVM Television on Thursday. The ‘I Love The Poor’ PNP leader was interviewed by CVM TV’s News Editor Garfield Burford in regards to the Riverton Dump fire and the effects of it. Watch the video below.

The PM couldn’t answer simple questions properly, but she “can read lips,” one woman wrote in a Facebook comment. However, many had a hard time digesting that she said it’s unfair for people to call for the head of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA), Jennifer Edwards,  to be fired. In the video, the Prime Minister said:

It’s not the first time the dump caught fire. I don’t know if we or whatever government..uhh when it had caught the person was fired… I’m sure she wouldn’t set the fire… If she had set the fire she would be gone… but I’m sure because she wasn’t there. She was nowhere near there until when they heard that the place was on fire. So I don’t know why anyone would be calling for her head to roll.

This sums up Portia Simpson Miller’s views on accountability.

Thousands of people quickly shared the video and expressed how embarrassed and ashamed they were, calling the 69-year-old PNP leader stupid for her response while some came to her defense.

Now many are even more worried about how she will address president Obama when he visits Jamaica on the 9th April. This is not the first time PM Portia Simpson Miller has embarrassed Jamaicans in an interview. In 2013, PM Simpson-Miller was interviewed by Pu Zhendong of ChinaDaily.com during her six-day official visit to China.
